For over a decade, Dr. Anuli Mkparu, MD, MBA, MSc. has been recognized as a physician and surgeon who practices compassionate, evidenced-based medicine. She is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Sunnyvale Wellness Foundation, Sunnyvale Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Clinic and Sunnyvale Wellness Center (all based in Pennsylvania). She is the Chief Medical Correspondent for The Source on WURD Radio 96.1FM/900AM, Philadelphia, PA and was the Inaugural Medical Director of Bucks County’s Street Medicine Program. She is a member of Black Women Orthopaedic Surgeons, which works to support and empower black women through mentoring, activism and education while advocating for health equity. She is also a member of Duke University’s Regional Board. She has received multiple awards including the American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leader Award, an Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society Research Award, the American Medical Association Global Health Award & the New England Orthopaedic Society's First Place Resident's Research Award. She obtained her orthopedic surgery residency at multiple academic hospitals in Massachusetts, including Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Dr. Mkparu completed her MD degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. She holds an MBA from Yale University School of Management and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Columbia University. She completed her Bachelor’s in Chemistry & Molecular Biology from Texas Lutheran University. Her hobbies include dancing and traveling, and while she enjoys her work tremendously, her favorite activity by far remains spending quality time with her adorable twin daughters.

Ms Onyinye Mkparu RN, MSN, MBA, OCN, joined the Sunnyvale Wellness Foundation team in 2021 as an inaugural member of the board. She brings over thirteen years of nursing experience in the acute, ICU and outpatient oncology practice settings. She has extensive leadership and research expertise and led multiple health care teams to build and establish optimal care delivery models, during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Ms Mkparu spent 8 years at the Johns Hopkins hospital growing as a nurse clinician, in various oncology settings. During this time she also began to serve as a Clinical Faculty for the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She has served as a leader in multiple acute care organizations such as; MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital. She also serves as an Equity Partner at Sungroup Energy and is currently the Treasurer Emeritus of the National Capital Chapter, of the Oncology Nurses Association. Ms Mkparu received her combined Masters degree in Business and Nursing from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors in Nursing from Duke University. A new mum to an adorable baby girl, she loves making an impact and uplifting the lives of others. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, dancing, culture and reading.

Zoma Foster has worked in the clinical research industry for 10+ years. She is active on the global stage, where she supports various aspects of clinical trial planning. Dr Foster ensures that clinical studies are positioned for success by using a data-driven approach, collaborating with key stakeholders, and keeping patients at the center of the planning process. She has managed several clinical studies in different therapeutic areas at clinical research organizations (CROs) and currently works at a global pharmaceutical company. Dr Foster is passionate about increasing awareness in clinical research, as well as increasing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in clinical trials. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Department of Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Houston. She enjoys traveling, volunteering in the community, watching movies (comedy) and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Uche Nwamara, JD, MA has served for the past 10 years as the General Counsel and Company Secretary of First Hydrocarbon Nigeria, an Africa-focused exploration and production company, with additional responsibility for the Company’s commercial, supply chain, and compliance functions. Following a stint in academia in the United States, Mr Nwamara worked at leading law firms in the United States and the United Kingdom, most latterly with the London office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he garnered significant experience in corporate law, advising private equity funds and other institutional clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and leveraged buyout transactions in multiple jurisdictions and across sectors. Mr. Nwamara is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Howard University in Washington DC, and holds a Master’s and Juris Doctor degrees from Harvard University, where he was an editor of the International Law Journal, and a recipient of the Harvard-Nigerian Fellowship for Distinguished African Scholars. Mr. Nwamara serves as Trustee/Director of EdVigor Inc., a US-based charity dedicated to the training of primary school teachers in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is an amateur violinist and pianist and enjoys reading historical fiction and doing word puzzles. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria with his wife and two children.

Ms. Stephanie Bariahtaris, MBA is a commercialization expert in the life sciences industry who has built a career bringing novel therapeutics to both US and international markets. Her specialization is developing health economic data and reimbursement approaches with the wide spectrum of payers – hospitals, commercial plans, Medicaid and Medicare, and single payer countries around the world. Having been in leadership roles at large pharmaceutical companies such as Merck and Novartis, start-up companies such as Trevena, Impel Pharmaceuticals and Milestone, she is adept as creating approaches to integrate clinical study data, provider and payer perspectives, along with patient access and advocacy. Ms. Bariahtaris holds an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from Duke University. She resides in Newtown, PA with her husband Steve having raised their three children in the area. Ms. Bariahtaris is an avid tennis player, is new to the sport of equestrian dressage, and is a big supporter of Philadelphia non-profits focused on preparing high school students who aspire to be first generation collegians.

Uchenna is the Chief Investment Officer/ Fund Manager for the United Capital Infrastructure Fund (UCIF), responsible for overseeing capital raising, deal origination, execution and investment management. He has led and been involved in investing, structuring and delivering financing across several infrastructure sectors including power, transportation, renewable energy, industrial recycling and telecommunications. He has raised c. N15bn via the capital markets for investments through infrastructure loans and has contributed in deploying over $170million in project preparation funding, early-stage equity, bridge finance and senior-secure debt. Previous roles he undertook include:

• Lead Investment Advisor on the UK Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (UKNIAF)
• Head Transportation at The Infrastructure Bank Plc
• Project Manager at the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, within The Presidency.

Alfred Mkparu is a seasoned Information Communication Technology (ICT) professional with over 40 years’ experience in his field. He graduated with First Class Honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and holds various professional certifications from renowned institutions across Europe and the USA. An innovator and forward thinker, Alfred began working as a Customer Support Engineer at Joint Komputer Kompany (JKK), shortly after graduating with his Bachelors. This gave him an opportunity to join the Nigerian ICT industry in its infancy and has since worked as the Customer Support and Operations Manager in several ICT Firms, including JKK Limited, Inlaks Computers and Bull Information Systems, providing his services in the financial, manufacturing, aviation, and communication industries, amongst others. Over the past 40 years, Alfred has progressed in his ICT and leadership career, working with both local and international ICT firms. He currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Associated Data Systems and has been a member of the board of Directors of SWIFT Networks Ltd since its inception. His experience spans Hardware and Software environments, Wireless & Cable Wide Area Networking and Local Area Networking, on various manufacturer platforms. His passion to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy and desire to create a sustainable environment for future generations, led him to diversify his activities. He is the Chief Operating Officer of BioWish Africa Limited (the franchisee for Africa, of the US-based BioWish Technologies, Inc). The company distributes non-GMO biosafety-compliant products which are used in commercial agriculture (growing more organic food and remediating the soil), aquaculture, as well as environment remediation.

Kera Jabe Okem is an information officer with the Cross River State Head of Service. Since her graduation from the University of Calabar where she studied media and communication Arts. She has served as a customer care executive with the Cross River State WaterBoard Services, also a one time vice President to a health club in charge of caring and meeting the needs of the Less privileged, in her quest for knowledge and to advance her career Mrs. Okem is currently running a masters programme in Mass Communication. Mrs. Kera Okem possess excellent skills in computer and a strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Good in time management and multitasking. Mrs. Okem is a dedicated and hardworking mother of three committed to balancing professional and family responsibilities. One of her greatest hobbies is spending time with her husband and beautiful children.

A frequent speaker and presenter at National Conferences on such topics as medical, sports and culinary tourism. Jeffrey Bisong is a results-driven Project Manager at Sunnyvale Foundation Nigeria, where he spearheads global health initiatives that leverage technology and innovation to deliver evidence-based medical care. With a strong educational foundation in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (B.Eng) and 1 year of IT experience, Jeffrey possesses a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills. He excels in problem-solving, technical innovation, and team collaboration, ensuring successful project outcomes. Jeffrey's passion for health equity and social welfare drives his commitment to volunteering and community service. He believes in the importance of addressing the social determinants of health that perpetuate global healthcare disparities. Through his work and personal endeavors, he aims to inspire positive change, improve health outcomes, and empower marginalized communities. Mr Joseph Okem is a London trained business man, with vast experience in business management. On his return from the United Kingdom in 1980s, he ventured into businesses, including building construction and trading in various goods and services. In the 1990s he entered into Politics Where by he was appointed secretary of the NRC (National Republican Conversation), one of the political parties formed by the Babangida administration. He served in that capacity until April 1993. In 1994, he got appointed as Caretaker committee member of Ogoja Local government Area, where he was Supervisory Councilor in charge of Agriculture, Security and Internal affairs of Ogoja LGA . He held the position until Councils were dissolved at the end of 1996. Mr Okem singlehandedly facilitated the floating of the 'Mbube Community Bank' in 1994 and was the Executive Chairman of the Board until he resigned in early 1997. On returning to his business he went into Construction and renovation of primary school buildings for Cross River State Government. A job he still does to date. Mr Okem is married with three children,

Dr. Innocent Egbeji Abang is a voracious reader and a dedicated writer, who started his academic career from the Army primary school, Lagos and had a short stay in St. Patrick Primary school, Egbe Mbube and Mbube East Secondary School, all in Ogoja Local Government, in Cross River state. He later returned to Lagos where he concluded his Secondary education at the most celebrated Command Day Secondary School, Ikeja, Lagos and then proceeded to University of Maiduguri where he had his first year in Medicine and Surgery and later transferred to the prestigious University of Calabar where he graduated with MBBCh in 1999. He further went through the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria where he bagged his Fellowship in Orthopedics Traumatology (FMCOrtho) in 2012. He also holds a Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), in 2018 and a fellowship with Institute of Management and Policy Development (FIMPD). He did not stop there, because of his quest for knowledge and leadership development, he also obtained Certificate of Management in Leadership and in Health from the University of Washington, USA. He has attended and presented academic papers in several conferences both locally and internationally. These include Surgical Implant Generation Network (SIGN), in Washington State, USA in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Other conferences attended included International Orthopaedic Surgeons (SICOT) in Guangzhou, China 2013, Rome, Italy, in 2016 and Canada, in 2018 and 2019. He has also participated on hands-on training in plastic and reconstruction surgery by IGOT in California, USA. Locally, he has attended so many conferences by National Postgraduate Medical College on Training the Trainer in 2013 in Lagos, ALL FELLOW CONGRESSES (too numerous to mention), several other conferences by National Orthopedics Association of Nigeria. He was one of the few Nigerians who participated in the protocol for Pain Management, by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in 2018.

Mrs. Anthonia Egem Okem was born in Rivers State, where she had her primary school education in Army Children School, Port-Harcourt. She relocated to Cross River State and started her secondary education in Mbube West Secondary School, Ekumtak, Mbube and graduated in the year 1989. She proceeded to the then IBB College of Agriculture to pursue a Diploma course in General Agriculture in 1994. To fulfil her passion for further education, she later proceeded to the same college where she obtained her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Crop Production in 1997. In 2000, Mrs Anthonia Egem Okem was employed into the service of Cross River Basin Development Authority (CRBDA) as a Technical Irrigation Officer and rose within the rank to the present position of Assistant Director (Agriculture). While in service, she enrolled at National Open University where she obtained a post graduate diploma in Agricultural Extension and Management in 2016. She later obtained her Master degree (MSC) in Agricultural Extension from the Cross River State University in 2019. Mrs. Anthonia Okem has been in the services of the Cross River Basin Development Authority till date and has attended several courses in Agriculture both within and outside the country. The latest was the International Agricultural Trade Fare in Tel Aviv, Israel, from where she proceeded to Jerusalem for her spiritual tour, which earned her the title of JP. She has worked as a Project Manager and has led several women groups, both in the union of Cross River Basin Development Authority (CRBDA) and in the church, where she is currently the National Secretary of the Police Catholic Women Organization. She is committed in whatever she sets her mind to do. That is why she initiated the Egbe Women In Diaspora (EWID) group, a charity group that has membership within and outside the country. The group has made commendable progress in the area of sponsoring indigent children and providing writing materials for them, as well as taking care of the aged and youth in the community. Her role in EWID has made her popular, both in the community and outside Mbube. She is also a committed member of Sunnyvale Foundation. She is happily married with children.
